Another Grad Day Down!

Our doors opened once again to welcome a cohort of exciting individuals eager to begin a career in financial services.

Backgrounds ranged from those with no degrees eager to begin a fulfilling career to recent grads ready to hit the ground running in the real working world. The energy in the room was electric and really reminded us of why we run assessment days like these.

We take a values-based approach to all our recruitment – whether that be The Grad Scheme or other experienced roles available across The Verve Group – as we have the firm belief that we can teach anyone the technical skills they need to succeed in a role but what we can’t force, is someone having the right appetite and attitude to learn. Our assessment days focus on our company values and a selection of different engaging activities to put our candidates at ease – we’re not that scary (promise)!

We begin our graduate days the same way every time – with an icebreaker. To erm, well, break the ice within the groups. We say personalities start to creep out, and sometimes even some impressive creative flair…

With the ice thawed, our candidates settled into the session and a series of activities followed to test a series of their skills, a chance to meet and greet our alumni and the opportunity to have a nosey around the office.

We’re currently in the process of making our final selection – it’s without a doubt the toughest part of the process but we’re hopeful we’ll be introducing some brand-new faces soon.
