To end 2020 with a bang (can we call it that?!) we managed to hold our socially-distanced, super-festive Grad Day earlier this month. All the candidates were excited as they entered the Verve floor and were greeted with big smiles, a boatload of hand sanitiser, and more importantly, mimosas, which we hope helped settle any nerves. The morning group didn’t hold back on the mimosas either (they knew how to impress us) and whilst it was also #ChristmasJumperDay, we thought why not give the candidates an option to wear their own Christmas jumpers and join in the fun.
We like to focus our assessment days around our company values (can you list them?) to see which candidates reflected such behaviours. The tasks created allow our lovely leadership team, Cathi, Jo, Nat, and Kim to see the candidate’s individual personalities whilst showcasing how they work together. It’s also a day that they get to drink mimosas all day without doing much work – no wonder they get excited for grad assessment days.
We also like to show the candidates that here at the Verve team, we have a strong ‘work hard, play hard’ mentality and that we love to support and help one another wherever possible. What better way to test their communication skills, with our very own task of finding an interesting fact from the rest of the Verve team. This allows us to see how the candidates interact with the rest of our team, as well as each other… socially distanced of course.
After another successful grad assessment day completed, we couldn’t be happier with the candidates that attended. Everyone gave their best and that’s what we like here at The Verve Group. Good luck to everyone in your future careers and a BIG congratulations to those who got the job! We can’t wait for you guys to start in 2021 and start your new careers in finance!
